Get to know Wells Fargo’s virtual assistant, Fargo®
Built into the Wells Fargo Mobile app, Fargo1 provides users with a personalized, helpful, and simplified banking experience.
“Hi, I’m Fargo. I’m here to give you insights into your finances and make managing your money easier.”
Just like fitness trackers and apps have revolutionized the workout industry by removing the burden to manually track your wellness goals, Fargo was designed to do the same for the banking industry — to work seamlessly in the background to help you stay on track to achieve your financial goals.
Reduced-stress banking
Recent studies show that many young adults are overwhelmed by financial stress, and their coping mechanism is to ignore the problem. Average credit card debt among millennials and Gen Z is on the rise, and these generations are more likely to pay a late fee or take an advance on their credit card.
“Money anxiety is a real thing, and our goal with Fargo is to enable and empower customers along their financial journey,” said Michelle Moore, head of digital for Consumer Wealth & Investment Management at Wells Fargo. “It’s more than just dollars and cents; it’s about uplifting our customers’ emotional and financial well-being by understanding their financial goals and providing the most convenient interactions to meet those goals.”
“How can I help today?”
Fargo’s insights can proactively:
- Highlight unusual activity, like a duplicate charge or change in subscription amount
- Show you when a recurring payment is higher than usual
- Forecast the amount of money you need to cover upcoming expenses and watch for low balances
- Analyze cash flow and suggest smart money moves, like the best time to save money
By the close of 2024, Fargo will be able to show paycheck history, offer credit score inputs like new activity and inquiries, provide cashflow summaries, and celebrate meeting savings goals.
To start using Fargo, open the Wells Fargo Mobile app, tap the Fargo search bar, and either speak or start typing a request in English or Spanish. Fargo will understand your needs and will deliver a solution.
