Zac Brown Band shows support for Warriors to Summits veterans
Zac Brown Band met with the Warriors to Summits team of wounded veterans to talk about difficulties they face in transitioning to civilian life.
"You guys dedicated huge parts of your lives for our country and for our freedom, so we're honored to be here," said Zac Brown in a recent meeting with members of the Warriors to Summits team. The veterans on the team have disabilities ranging from prosthetic limbs to traumatic brain injury to post-traumatic stress disorder. Wells Fargo is sponsoring the No Barriers Warriors to Summits program, which uses mountain climbing as a metaphor to help the veterans overcome barriers in their personal lives.
Zac and members of the Grammy-award winning Zac Brown Band, which actively supports military service members, met with the wounded veterans to talk about difficulties military service members face in transitioning to civilian life. They also showed their support for the veterans and the team’s climb in September of Wyoming’s tallest peak.
Zac and his bandmates signed the Warrior Strong Pledge, which states: “No matter what barriers I face, what’s within me is stronger than what’s in my way.”
