Wells Fargo leaders participate in national celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. holiday

Heads of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and External Engagement for Diverse Segments, Representation & Inclusion are among distinguished guests at annual D.C. event.

Wells Fargo leaders participated in the 10th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Wreath-Laying ceremony (1:24:52) on Jan 18. The builders of the King Memorial, the Memorial Foundation, normally hold the annual event in-person at the King Memorial, located in West Potomac Park on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This year’s virtual commemoration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and day of service was cosponsored by Wells Fargo, among other entities such as the National Association of Realtors, Centene Corporation, and T-Mobile.

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the opening of the King Memorial. The event featured live and recorded presentations, including musical guests, and offered Wells Fargo leaders an opportunity to note Wells Fargo’s sponsorship of a pedestrian pathway leading to the King Memorial.

As a virtual speaker, Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Jimmie Paschall joined members of Congress from around the U.S. and high-profile figures such as Martin Luther King III and Rabbi Lauren Holtzblatt, who officiated at the funeral of former Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Head of External Engagement for Diverse Segments, Representation & Inclusion Gigi Dixon also participated as part of the Light and Love Tribute in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. (59:35).
