Wells Fargo is donating $1 million to support relief efforts in southeast Texas following Hurricane Harvey, with $500,000 for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund and another $500,000 for local nonprofits helping communities recover from the storm.

“Wells Fargo is deeply concerned for all of those affected by the devastating flooding in Texas, and committed to helping our customers, neighbors, team members, and communities get through this,” said David Miree, lead region bank president for Texas. “With forecasts calling for more rain and potentially more flooding, we will continue to work with those engaged in relief and recovery efforts to determine any additional assistance and support we may be able to provide.”

To provide additional relief for impacted customers, Wells Fargo is waiving ATM fees for customers in the affected areas, as well as reversing other fees — such as late fees — for all of our consumer products, including credit cards and checking accounts. Once the weather stabilizes, Wells Fargo’s mobile response unit will be sent to the area to help customers with insurance needs.

Wells Fargo customers can join the relief effort by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund at any of the company’s ATMs nationwide beginning Aug. 29. Customers will not be charged a fee for using this service, and 100 percent of the donations will go to the American Red Cross.

Wells Fargo’s Go FarTM Rewards customers can redeem any amount of their available rewards and donate them to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund from Aug. 29 through Sept. 12 by accessing their rewards account or calling the Go Far Rewards Service Center at 877‑517‑1358. Wells Fargo customers and clients affected by the severe weather and flooding in Texas may discuss their financial needs with Wells Fargo by calling 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557) anytime. Likewise, Wells Fargo Home Lending customers can call 1-888-818-9147 Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. CST, and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST, to discuss potential payment and disaster assistance options.

Given the extent of the flooding, customers can use Wells Fargo’s branch locator or call 1-800-TO-WELLS (1-800-869-3557) for the latest information about their branch.
