Curtis Jones Jr, 4th District Representative, Philadelphia City Council:
We’re rocking the block and making the porches pop.
(nail gun)
Jordan P Ferrarini, Founder and Executive Director, Trades for a Difference:
We’re restoring the front facades of buildings here. We’re making repairs to seniors’ home and disabled veterans’ homes to help them beautify their home and make them feel good.
Sen. Sharif Street, District 3, Pennsylvania Senate:
I want to thank Wells Fargo for responding to the call to be a good corporate citizen and for showing up when it mattered.
Aldustus Jordan, Wells Fargo Community Relations:
Housing affordability is our number one priority. We found through days of service like this, when we come and support a block like this and revitalize 50 homes, it generates a spark, and that spark gets the residents more involved, it gets elected officials more involved and more engaged, and it inspires people to do even more.

Yolanda Williams, Homeowner:
I just want to say thank you to all of you volunteers that’s putting up my new fence. It’s just my prayers have been answered.
Angela Hale-Walls, Wells Fargo Home Lending:
She couldn’t afford the fence. So, it means so much to her to get a new fence, and to be a part of that and her blessings is a beautiful thing.
You deserve it. You deserve it. It’s all good. You deserve it.
Williams:
I just tried to keep the neighborhood together.
Ferrarini:
Philadelphia is a place where there is aging housing stock.

There are smoke detectors that have old batteries, or the batteries haven’t been changed, or they are defective. People aren’t in a position where they can necessarily afford that upgrade and improvement.
Fireman:
That’s the sound of safety.
Ferrarini:
I know what it’s like to grow up in the inner city. I was raised by a single mother. My father wasn’t around. We faced a lot of hard times.
We started a handyman company out of the trunk of a car with a bucket full of tools from the pawn shop, but in the construction industry we found our success.
We just want to get it to where …
We put together a program, Trades for a Difference. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and not only can we teach young people high level construction skill sets, but also to be able to provide a lot of resource and benefits to the community while doing it.
Zykai Gibbs, Student, Trades for a Difference
I’ve learned so much working with Jordan. He’s really like a master of all trades. I want to become a carpenter. The amount of money a carpenter makes, the skies the limit.
Ferrarini:
Wells Fargo’s been an amazing supporter. They’ve been a great resource. They’ve really helped us to be able to take these community initiatives to an entirely different level.
Jones:
These kinds of collaborative efforts with Wells Fargo and Trades for the Difference are giving particularly senior citizens a helping hand to make sure they maintain their property.
David Miree, Wells Fargo Consumer Banking:
Wells Fargo has such a deep background around community development, community relationships, and affordable housing, and this is just one more way that Wells Fargo is showcasing how it brings to life it’s vision and values.
Williams:
You guys rock. You definitely rock. Oh, I’m just so happy.
