His office is a football field.

His conference room, a huddle.

And his philosophy? That football is a microcosm of life itself.

Former high school football coach Justin MacDonald, or “Coach Mac” to players, founded Authority Football to teach football skills and to mentor young athletes.

In four years the Phoenix-area company has grown to six employees and serves as many as 80 athletes at a time, from junior high to college students.

The company was a finalist in the 2014 Wells Fargo Works Project contest. The contest was created to promote the launch of the Wells Fargo Works for Small BusinessSM initiative and to help small businesses become successful through providing resources, guidance, and services.
