Sometimes, all a fledgling business needs is a helping hand.

A $50,000 grant from Wells Fargo is doing just that by providing financial support to Prospera, a nonprofit founded in 1995. Its goal: to empower low-income Latina women by giving them the skills and training they need to start their own businesses.

The nonprofit supplies technical training and business education for women interested in environmentally friendly cleaning businesses.
